Special Unique Pieces
The Haybarn is a lovely little cottage that has 1982 listed as the year on the label. On one of our treasure hunts we found another Haybarn with 1985 as the year on the label. We contacted the John Hine studios to ask about the discrepancy of the labels and they said "it was impossible". The Haybarn is one of our favorites and we treasure the two we have knowing that one of them is indeed very unique.
Another unique piece is The Bothy. This is an unpainted version of the cottage. It is extremely rare for an unpainted version of a cottage to get out into the market. We are thrilled to own such a piece.
The Tythe Barn is one of our oldest piece. This is a very rare cottage and it is extremely exciting for us to being able to own one as part of our collection. This piece was retired in 1986.
The Cartright's Cottage was a special piece that David Winter created to benefit the Ronald McDonald house.
Another piece that we treasure is The Grange. The cottage had problems because the wooden piece at the front would not stay attached. Hence it was only available for a short period of time. It is a lovely piece and we are lucky enough to own two.
David Winter created two pieces, The Printer and The Bookbinder that were actually bookends.
